Maintenance Servicing

Our aim is to give you an efficient and cost-effective car service. A Full Service each year will reduce the risk of breakdown and can help maintain the value of the vehicle. Our Mountain Goat Service includes:

Fully synthetic engine oil

Oil filter

Pollen filter

Screen wash

Under bonnet fluids checked

Air filter

Fuel filter

Spark plugs

Complete checks of all main components

Full brake inspection with wheels removed

Tyres checked and inflated

MOT Repairs

An MOT is a legal requirement for most vehicles over 3 years old to ensure that your car meets the minimum safety requirements to be roadworthy. Here at Mountain Goat Garage we offer MOT services and can prepare your vehicle before its MOT or repair afterwards if it fails. We also offer a FREE MOT reminder service where you will receive a text to remind you that your MOT is due.

Electronic Diagnostics

You don’t have to go to a dealership to have your dashboard lights diagnosed. We can perform a diagnostic check on your car using specialist software which can read the majority of fault codes stored in a modern vehicle’s memory system.

Air Conditioning

Is your car cool in the summer – is your air conditioning working correctly? We recommended recharging your car’s air conditioning system every 2 years to keep it running efficiently. If your system is not working correctly we can diagnose the source of the leak using a nitrogen and dye mixture. Call us today to discuss how it works and arrange your repair.We can: Recharge of gas to recommended levels, adding fresh system oil; Full visual inspection, temperature and leak checks; Recovery of refrigerant, evacuation of air and moisture from within the system; Optional – Air conditioning cleaner to clear bacterial build up and remove any unpleasant smells.

Tyres

From tyre checks, puncture repairs and brand-new tyres, we can help fix and fit them to get you back on the road in a safe manner. If you have your own tyre, we are also happy to fit these for you at a small cost. We also offer pre-season tyre checks for both Summer and Winter.

Tracking

Our tracking service consists of examining the vehicle and making sure that the tyres are wearing evenly. One of the most common causes of uneven tyre wear is that the tracking isn’t aligned correctly. Here at the garage we will look at the car as a whole to ensure that the problem isn’t just the steering.

Exhausts, CATs and DPFs

We can repair and replace exhausts depending on what the problem is. We use well known and high quality brands to ensure the work getting done is to a high standard.

Brakes

If you’re having problems with your brakes, please don’t hesitate to get them looked at. It could be your brake discs, brake pads or your fluid needs changing, all of which we can do at Mountain Goat Garage.

Welding

We have a great team here at Mountain Goat Garage, with lots of experience and our team includes a Welding Specialist.

Tow Bars

We can supply, fit and repair tow bars where possible on most makes and models. We can do both 7 and 13 pin sockets, so whether you’re wanting to fit a tow bar for a trailer or for a caravan, we can help.

Cam Belts

It is important that timing belts/cam belts and chains are serviced and regularly changed, depending on the manufacturer’s guidelines. This service is something that we offer.
